ALL YEAR
First Fridays
Every first Friday of the month, downtown businesses host special events, stay open late, offer free samples, and the town comes out for a good time.
SPRING
April: Sip & Stroll
Hosted by the LDBA, The Sip & Stroll allows participants to wander around businesses downtown while sipping a curated selection of wine, beer, and N/A options from all over the world.
SUMMER
May 3rd - 5th: Cinco de Mayo Festival
Hosted by the The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Cinco de Mayo festival celebrates Mexican heritage and culture with music, vendors, and family-friendly fun on the weekend of May 5th.
June 15th: Chisholm Trail Parade
Hosted by the Lockhart Chamber of Commerce, The Chisholm Trail Roundup offers family-friendly fun with a rodeo, mutton busting, carnival, chili cook-off, and live music. This event takes place in City Park, but the Grand Parade on June 15th takes place around the historic Lockhart Square!
FALL
September 16th: Diez Y Seis Festival
Hosted by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Diez & Seis celebrates Mexican independence and culture with music, food, and more on the weekend of September 16th.
October/November: Dia De Los Muertos Festival
Hosted by Feria de Culturas, this festival celebrates Mexican traditions to honor lost loved ones directly after Halloween. Come see the beautiful ofrendas created around downtown!
November 2nd & 3rd: Texas Monthly BBQ Fest
Hosted by Texas Monthly, this yearly festival celebrates everything BBQ! With pitmasters from all over Texas, live music, events, vendors, and more, you don’t want to miss out!
WINTER
December: A Christmas to Remember in Lockhart
Hosted by The Downtown Business Association, The Chamber of Commerce, The City of Lockhart, The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and The Friends of The Eugene Clark Library, this fun and family-friendly event kicks off on First Friday and includes special holiday events, vendors, a raffle, the tree lighting, a yule log, caroling, and a holiday parade!
